Behind the Chutes

A reasonably new addition at Dripping Springs Ranch Park, home of the town’s rodeo arena, is an elevated row of VIP and press boxes right over the chutes. The walkway behind these offers a great overhead view of the cowboys below as they prepare for the event. This particular shot was taken during this year’s Brent Thurman Memorial Bull Riding event on June 27th.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4.8
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/30s
