Nature Challenge – Day 3: Dead Trees in the Mist

I’m choosing to define “nature” such that I can include landcapes or images taken in a natural setting though, even here, I’m probably bending the rules a bit because this scene, shot early yesterday morning, is of a man-made stock tank at Reveille Peak Ranch near Burnet. I was up there with Drew for a mountain biking event that he was taking part in and we were lucky enough to arrive not too long after sunrise with the mist still hanging on the water.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s
