The Wheel Barn

The “Wheel Barn” or, as it is more correctly known the Dahmen Barn, in Uniontown, Washington is now an arts center. The building was originally constructed by Jack Dahmen in 1935 and was used in his dairy farming operations until 1953. You can read its full history here. We visited on a cold June morning during our 2015 NxNW trip to the Palouse region and caught the location right after sunrise.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/13
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 28mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/45s
