Ripples on one of the gypsum dunes at White Sands National Monument near Alamogordo, New Mexico. Shooting there, I find that I tend to use the extreme lenses in my bag. The first shot in the series was taken with a telephoto to compress the dunes together and highlight the landscape’s layers. Next time, I think I’ll try to take an even longer lens since there were quite a few compositions I couldn’t get quite right even at 300mm.
