Morning at Oxbow Bend

Yes, it’s a clichéd view but you have to admit it’s a worthwhile clichéd view. Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, is a must-shoot location for any photographer visiting the area and finding a place to set up your tripod can be tricky if you get there less than an hour before sunrise. We were lucky enough not to have to fight for space but the wait was worth it since the sunrise glow on the mountains that morning and the wonderful reflection made for some great pictures.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 60s
