Stevie Ray at Night

This statue of Stevie Ray Vaughan can be found at Auditorium Shores just in front of the Long Center on Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. The skyline view makes a great background for pictures of the statue at night but remember to take along a flash or flashlight because SRV sits in complete darkness and you’ll need something to light-paint him during your long exposure.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4.8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 56mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 6s
