Pedernales River near Johnson City

This is another image from my visit to Pedernales Falls State Park during Mike Criswell‘s recent visit to Austin. It was a grey and slightly drizzly morning but the soft light allowed us to create some nice long exposures of the water cascading through the rocks. It would have been a pretty perfect visit to the park but for the fact that I ended up dropping my camera off the tripod and smashing a 28-300mm lens onto the rock. Thank goodness for insurance!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/22
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 35mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 1.5s
