We’re just back from an exciting day at Circuit of the Americas for the 2017 MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. After current championship leader Maverick Viñales crashed early in the race, Honda Repsol’s Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez battled it out for the lead for a while before Marquez got in front and took off to leave the other riders several seconds behind. In the end, Marquez won his fifth consecutive race in Austin with crowd-favourite Valentino Rossi of Movistar Yamaha coming in second.
I was shooting outside the fence this year which made life a lot more difficult but I still managed to get some good shots, albeit using a very long lens pointed through some very small gaps in the fence!
