Hamilton Pool

Here’s a rather more conventional picture of Hamilton Pool. The difference in brightness between the sky and the interior of the overhang is so huge that I needed to merge 7 individual exposures to create this image. In a perfect world, there would have been some fluffy clouds in the sky but, until I find a good sky image to drop in, here’s the clear blue that was there on the early April afternoon when I shot this.

As with yesterday’s image, this was processed using AuroraHDR with final rework in Adobe Lightroom.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 18mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/30s
