Formula 4 Racer

The racing action has begun at Circuit of the Americas for this weekend’s World Endurance Championship event. I’m shooting for one of the support race sponsors and spent an hour yesterday morning capturing the first practice session for the US F4 Championship. The light was great and the trackside photo windows were empty (very few people photograph the support races) so I got some images that I’m very happy with. Here’s one of my favourites so far showing Mexican driver Moi De La Vara negotiating turn 8.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D500
  • Focal length: 450mm
  • ISO: 560
  • Shutter speed: 1/2000s
