FRC 2011: Logomotion

Here’s an image from the 2011 FIRST Robotics Competition Midwest Regional in Chicago that gives an idea of what a typical match looks like. Two alliances, each comprising three teams, work to score as many points as possible during a 2 minute 30 second match. In 2011, the game was called “Logomotion” and the aim was to stack inflatable game pieces on hooks above the drivers’ stations to make FIRST logos.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Exposure bias: -1EV
  • Focal length: 70mm
  • ISO: 1600
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
