Chief Collard

Today is the start of Dripping Springs Fair and Rodeo weekend. This also marks the release day for the North Hays County Fire Rescue calendar that I shot some of the pictures for so I’ll be running a few of these this week (along with, no doubt, a few more behind-the-scenes rodeo images).

This image shows Chief Scott Collard in front of one of the department’s fire trucks at the central fire station in Dripping Springs.

You can pick up a copy of the 17-month calendar for a suggested donation of $20 at the Ranch Park during this weekend’s rodeo or, if you can’t make it there, at the fire station on Sportsplex Drive, at City Hall on Mercer Street or at Solutions Pharmacy on Sawyer Ranch Road.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Exposure bias: +3/6EV
  • Focal length: 150mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
