Light Trails on the Foothills Parkway

A new section of the Foothills Parkway opened during our trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park recently and we drove part if it on opening day. The road follows the crest of a ridge along the north side of the park and offers spectacular views. We returned the next morning and witnessed sunrise with fog hanging in the valleys below us. If you are visiting the park, this is definitely a location you won’t want to miss.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/22
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 190mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 15s
