It was pointed out to me on Monday that, despite enthusing about all the amazing wildflowers at Enchanted Rock right now, I failed to actually show any of them. To correct that error, here’s a shot of a flowering yucca (yucca augustiflora) in a field of Brown-Eyed Susans (rudbeckia hirta). The whole of central Texas appears to be a red and yellow mat right now with white yucca spires providing punctuation.
