Pittsburgh Reflection I

A reflection in the glass facade of a downtown building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania seen a couple of weeks ago during my recent NxNW trip to the city. We did a couple of morning photo walks through the city centre and I was very impressed by the diversity of the architecture.

As is disappointingly normal when photographing in urban areas, I had a discussion with a security guard near where this image was taken after he informed me that photos with big lenses were not allowed anywhere near the building he was outside. We had a pleasant chat about the law, the location of the property line, and the definition of a “long lens” which took up exactly enough time for everyone in the group to get the (legal) pictures they were keen on taking before we moved on 🙂

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 86mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
