The beach outside our bungalow at Sigasiga Sands sloped very gently towards the edge of the reef about a quarter of a mile away from the high tide mark. At low tide, and for a couple of hours on either side of it, this yielded a huge expanse covered in tide pools many of which trapped interesting and exotic fish and other creatures. We had a blast spending time in that area looking at blue starfish, huge and scary (though harmless) sea cucumbers, and many different crab species.
