Texas Capitol Dome – Workshop Image

The interior of the dome of the Texas State Capitol in Austin.

Yesterday was my HDR workshop in Austin and our downtown shoot took place around the State Capitol. Despite the newly added metal detectors and security checks (for people who don’t have concealed handgun permits, of course), access was fine and we all had a very enjoyable couple of hours of shooting. I took a lot fewer images than usual since I spent most of my time talking to the students (of course) but this was one image I used later while demonstrating tone mapping settings. I know it’s a cliched view but I still like it.
