Texas State Capitol – Warped Railing

To me, aside from being very, very wide, the most interesting feature of a fisheye lens is the way it distorts an image, bending straight lines into wonderfully organic curves. Here’s another of my images from Monday’s trip to the capitol where this is pretty evident. Elements near the edges of the frame are warped in a strange but regular way making the circular railing in the foreground look rather unusual.
