A new year has passed and I just realised that I’ve not posted a cowboy boot picture yet! To rectify that omission, here are a couple of boots from Allens Boots on South Congress. I’ll have to wander back in there sometime soon since it’s been a while since I shot any new cowboy boot brackets and I bet they have plenty in stock to keep me occupied for a couple of hours. I really should get round to actually buying a pair since I’m told they are extremely comfortable once you break them in.
The story I heard about the foreground boot goes along these lines. A customer special ordered a pair of one-of-a-kind cobra-head Lucchese boots but, when they arrived, changed their mind. If you want them, last time I visited they were on the shelf with a price tag over somewhere around $10,000 if memory serves me correctly.
Now that i’ve never seen! Those are crazy!
