Evening Fishing

Drew is a very keen angler and, since the creek near our home is flowing again and since the deep part is chock full of fish, he loves to head down there at any opportunity when there’s a parent or babysitter available to keep an eye on him.

The week after my IR-converted D5000 arrived, we took an evening trip and, while he fished, I played with my new toy. This is one of the resulting images, converted to monochrome for a fairly classic “white foliage, black sky” infra red look.

By the way, Drew caught two fish in 20 minutes that evening so I guess it was successful for both of us.
