Apologies for the gap in photoblog coverage yesterday but it's been a whirlwind of a week and I couldn't find the time to get a picture ready.
As you will no doubt know if you've been following the last week's posts, this was a big week in our family since my wife's first novel was published on Tuesday and we had a day of events on Saturday to celebrate. Everything went really well - Book People, Austin's excellent independent book store, hosted the official launch party and we had somewhere between 250 and 300 people show up. This was the largest crowd they had seen since Bill Clinton visited a couple of years ago. They also sold out of every copy of the book they had ordered! We were all rather surprised at the number of friends and relatives who walked up to the signing table with 3, 4 or even 5 copies.
I acted as tech support and official photographer for the event. If you want to take a look through the snaps, you can find them all here. In the meantime, here's one which includes someone you may recognise from one of my previous posts.
