As I kid, I remember one of my relatives having a picture hung on the wall with the famous story of the guy walking along a beach and asking Jesus why there were only one set of footprints during the most difficult periods in his life. At the time, it made quite an impression and struck me as a very clever and beautiful piece of writing. Only later did I find out that this particular text was used all over the place and wasn’t unique to my relatives’ wall after all.
As we waited for sunset on Cannon Beach, someone walked past in bare feet and that memory and a bunch of others from my 7th or 8th year popped back into my consciousness and added to the wonder of the moment. Isn’t it great how little things can trigger floods of memory from long ago?
This is lovely Dave, and I am really glad that you got it. I am very unhappy with the vast majority of the sunset images I made that night on the beach. The earlier stuff and the night time stuff are fine, it is just that sunset stuff that is bugging me.
Well done.

Thanks, Scott. I only got a couple of usable images around sunset but I’m happy with this one.
