Today marks the start of Circuit of the Americas’ second major racing weekend since it opened last November so that gives me a perfect excuse to show another of my car shots taken during US Grand Prix weekend.
The only Scot on the grid these days is Paul DiResta who drives for the Sahara Force India team. It turns out that he was brought up about 20 miles from my home town. Here he is at Circuit of the Americas during qualification for the big race last year.
Drew and I are heading out to the track on Saturday so look for some pictures from this weekend’s Grand-Am events next week.
This is sweet Dave, love the angle you put on this one, very nice with the red blur of the track, tick tick..counting down to Moab!!

Man, that is really good! Your panning skills rock! The car is so sharp and the rest is awesome! Nice!

Not true, Evan. My panning skills only appear to rock because you don’t see that I throw away at least 20 images for every one you see here. My panning hit rate is very, very low but I took a very, very large number of pictures so, by the law of averages, I’m bound to have a few that are sharp. I should also state that I’m very picky about my definition of “sharp” here – unless I can read absolutely all the text on the car with no blur at all, I trash the shot.
Either way, this is still awesome! I’m not sure I would come away with ANY as good! Also, have fun with the Wiz! Can’t wait to see the stuff you guys come away with!
