Rolex Racer at Turn 17

I spent a very enjoyable Saturday back out at Circuit of the Americas with Drew watching Grand-Am racing. The signature event of the day was the Rolex Series race, a 2 hour, 45 minute contest between some very cool custom-built cars such as this Ford.

During the race, Drew and I decided to take another trip to the top of the CoTA tower and I discovered that there were plenty of opportunities to take a few rather different shots from up there. This image was actually rather trickier to shoot than you may expect. The car was doing in excess of 100mph at the time so I had to shoot a burst at high speed and keep my fingers crossed that I would catch the vehicle at exactly the right position.
