Owl Butterfly, Houston Museum of Natural Science

I’ve not posted any macro shots in quite some time so here’s one from my last visit to the Cockerell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This shows an owl butterfly, named for the two large, round eyes “painted” on its wings (which, of course, you can’t see in this head-on view).
