Hedricks Pond Overlook

Part of the view from Hedricks Pond Overlook in Grand Teton National Park. With its interesting foreground and panoramic vista of the mountains, this is a popular viewpoint among photographers who can find it. It’s not an officially marked spot in the park and requires a few miles driving on rough dirt roads to find but it’s well worth the effort. We visited in the middle of the day and the light was a bit harsh but this is definitely somewhere to add to your sunrise list!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/16
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 112mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
