Christmas at the Capitol

Once again, Christmas is sneaking up on me! I’ve not been into downtown Austin to take pictures this year but here’s a shot from a photowalk we did last Christmas. This shows the Texas State Capitol dome with the large Christmas tree in front of it. The lighting on the tree cycles through various colours and offers a great opportunity to linger and see which scheme works best. You can find another example of the tree in this post from last December.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/16
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 122mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 8s
