It’s been a wild weekend here in Texas and the forecasts suggest the craziness will continue for another few days before Hurricane Harvey finally leaves us alone and heads north-east. No-one watching the news could fail to be moved by the pictures coming out of Houston, suffering unprecedented flooding, or from Rockport which took a direct hit from the category 4 storm.
Rockport and Fulton, small fishing towns north of Corpus Christi, hold a special place in my heart. We’ve visited them several times for family breaks and love the piers, wharfs, fishing harbors, seafood restaurants and art galleries that define the towns. It’s heartbreaking to think that they have been hit so hard. This week, I’ll be posting pictures I’ve taken in that area and will donate 100% of any print sale profits from these images to the Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
