Butler Park Spiral

I’ve had my Mavic Air for a year or so but have not spent a huge amount of time flying it. As a result, the initial fascination with the idea of having a camera that I can position in totally different ways hasn’t faded and I still find most of my photos taken with it are of the “wow – here’s a photo of something I’ve shot a hundred times but from a higher angle” variety. The trick now, though, is to move on to use the drone as a tool to make images that are unique, different and just not possible to capture any other way.

In my quest towards this goal, here’s a shot from last Friday’s photowalk showing the spiral of the path around the Butler Park hill and the adjacent splash fountain.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC2103
  • Exposure bias: -1.3EV
  • Focal length: 4.5mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/75s
