Tiger Band at State Championships

Congratulations to the members of Dripping Springs High School Tiger Band and Color Guard (two of whom happen to be related to me) on their 10th place in the 2019 UIL 5A Marching Band State Championships yesterday at San Antonio’s Alamodome!

Their show this year was titled “Mass = Force/Acceleration” and incorporated music by Horner, Bernstein and Mozart along with imagery and drill inspired by the Fibonacci series. I never figured out why Newtonian mechanics and Fibonacci were put together but the result looked good 🙂

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 125mm
  • ISO: 1000
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
