Yesterday’s picture showed one end of the compositional spectrum when shooting the band and today’s shows the other. When the band are in their section of the stands, it’s tricky to get interesting wide shots, especially since the south end of the stadium is currently adorned by two construction cranes making the background rather messy. Instead, I tend to focus on individual band members and typically those who stand out from the crowd for one reason or another.
In this particular case, one trombonist stood out by being between the rows of players who were standing on the bleachers to play at the time.
