Safety Stop

I don’t usually post family pictures here but this one popped up as I was going through my Fiji trip folder and I figured it crossed the line into art territory and would be a good photoblog fit. This is Cameron waving as we hang off a mooring line 15ft below the surface of the Pacific Ocean just off Vanua Levu, Fiji during an end-of-dive safety stop.

We spent two weeks on Fiji over Christmas and New Year 2016/17 and, during that time, did 4 or 5 dive trips under the watchful eyes of Colin & Janine Skipper and the crew at KoroSun Dive. Dive conditions weren’t fantastic during our visit but the views were still spectacular as was the camaraderie during our visits to the Waitui bar (where, incidentally, the fish and chips are excellent) in Savusavu after getting ashore.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: HERO4 Silver
  • Focal length: 3mm
  • ISO: 150
  • Shutter speed: 1/120s
