Stripes at Badwater Basin

An almost-abstract view taken at Badwater Basin in California’s Death Valley National Park back in 2010. This trip was supposed to be visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon in Utah but Bryce was snowed in so we took a detour to Death Valley instead. We only had a day there but it convinced me that I need to go back and spend more time in the area at some point in the future.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Focal length: 240mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s
