Benetton B198

This is my last image of the Benetton B198 for now. The car was originally driven by Alex Wurz in the 1998 F1 season. It reminds me very much of the style of cars in use when I moved to the US in 1994 but I missed the 1998 season (and all seasons from 1995 through 2010) due, initially, to me not having access to a TV channel in Austin which showed the races. My interest picked up again when plans to build Circuit of the Americas became public and I was pleasantly surprised to find that, while some drivers’ F1 careers started and finished during my off-time (including that of Alex Wurz), Michael Schumacher was still on the grid and there were still many recognizable faces in the team garages even though many of those team names had changed in the intervening 15 years.

For the technically inclined...
