Flame Skimmer

We took our first 2021 trip out to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on Saturday and I took my macro gear along in case there were any interesting dragonflies to see. In the end, we found lots of them but pretty much all of one species this time. Here’s one of the Flame Skimmers (Libellula saturata) we found.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 150mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s
