Football? Hell Yeah!

After a missing year, UT football is on! I had the pleasure of attending Saturday’s season opening game against the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns at Texas Memorial Stadium in my capacity as one of the photographers for the Longhorn Band and it was wonderful to be back. This week, I’m going to post a few of my favourite images, some band-related, some not.

The first picture seems appropriate given the general level excitement in the stadium. The Longhorn Hellraisers are a group of superfans whose goal is to fire up the crowd in support of the burnt orange. They spend their time in the south-east corner of the stadium right by the band and encourage the other students to join in yelling and screaming in support of the Longhorns. Apparently it worked on Saturday since UT won by 38 points to Lafayette’s 18.

For the technically inclined...
