The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi can be found a block from the main plaza in the centre of Santa Fe, New Mexico and is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The current building was erected between 1869 and 1886 on the site of an earlier church which date back to the 1620s.
