Jayhawk Sax

Some of my favourite marching band pictures are individual portraits of players picked out from the crowd using a long telephoto lens. Here’s one of the saxophone players from the The University of Kansas Marching Jayhawks seen in Kansas Memorial Stadium, Lawrence, during the October 16th, 2021 home game against Texas Tech.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/6.7
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 253mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
