Submergence Abstract

The largest installation at Wonderspaces Austin is “Submergence” by Squidsoup. This is a cuboidal space filled with an array of over 8000 individually programmable coloured lights. Over a period of 12 minutes, the lights cycle in various patterns as viewers walk within the space. It’s pretty mesmerizing!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/22
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 66mm
  • ISO: 1000
  • Shutter speed: 1/2s
