Bald Eagle, Sitka

We saw many bald eagles in Alaska last September but most were some distance away and not easy to get a good, close image of. During our visit to the Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka, however, this wasn’t a problem. Here’s an image of one of the residents taken in low light with a long lens and cleaned up with the help of the magic in Topaz Photo AI.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/6.3
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Exposure bias: -1EV
  • Focal length: 400mm
  • ISO: 5000
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
