A Peek of the Capitol

It’s pretty difficult to see the Texas State Capitol from most of the downtown Austin area nowadays despite zoning that requires particular sight lines to remain unobstructed. One place you do, just, get to see it is slightly west of the Seaholm area where it peeks through a gap in the buildings. You can see it on the left of the Independent tower in this drone shot taken a couple of weeks ago.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC3411
  • Focal length: 8.38mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/2s
