I just realised that I have so far failed to post an image of the cutest inhabitants of South Georgia so today’s picture aims to correct that. We visited the island during the height of Antarctic Fur Seal (Arctocephalus gazella) breeding season and the island is covered with these adorable balls of fur. Despite their cuteness, these guys are pretty feisty and will chase you, squeaking and showing their tiny teeth, if you get too close. This particular pup was sunning itself on the beach at Fortuna Bay on December 23rd.
