King Penguins at St. Andrews Bay

During three weeks of amazing locations, St. Andrews Bay on South Georgia still stands out as the most incredible to me. Penguins, rivers, glaciers, mountains – it had everything. While the main colony was spectacular, the views of thousands of King Penguins lined up along the banks of the meltwater streams definitely topped my list.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 25mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
