King Penguin at Peggotty Camp




A lone King Penguin on the beach at Peggotty Cove in King Haakon Bay, South Georgia on December 26th, 2024. This is the location of Shackleton’s temporary camp after he and five crew members arrived on the island following their 750 mile journey from Elephant Island in one of the Endurance’s lifeboats.
