Heading to Hondius

I’ve been posting images from my amazing trip to Antarctica for almost two months now but the time has come to say goodbye with this image of a zodiac returning to M/V Hondius after one of our earliest shore excursions on New Island in the Falkland Islands. This trip was an absolutely incredible experience with amazing views, incredible wildlife, and outstanding people and I’ll treasure the memories for as many years as I have left. Tomorrow, I’ll delve back into the archives for some non-Antarctica pictures but I still have 250 or so from the trip marked for use on the blog so you’ll definitely see more sprinkled among my future daily posts. In the meantime, if you’re a sucker for punishment, you can find all my keepers from the trip at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Travel/Antarctica-December-2024.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6

  • Focal length: 130mm
