Pope Francis in Buenos Aires

I was saddened to read of the death of Pope Francis when I got up this morning. While I’m not a Roman Catholic, I had enormous respect for Francis who, from my perspective, did a great deal to highlight the real message of the Gospels, highlighting the plight of the poor and marginalized all over the world.

Before becoming Pope, Jorge Bergoglio as he was then, was Archbishop of Buenos Aires and his portrait was to be found all over his home city when I visited last December.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 8mm
  • ISO: 3200
  • Shutter speed: 1/10s
