Starship

Last Saturday, I was lucky enough to be given a tour of the SpaceX star factory at Starbase, Texas (formerly Boca Chica village). The production lines for Super Heavy boosters and Starship upper stages were fascinating but photos weren’t allowed (obviously) so I had to make do with some iPhone snaps from the only authorized photo location outside by the rocket park. Here’s one of three finished articles currently parked there. I think this is SN20 which was stacked for testing and possible flight but ended up being overtaken by a newer ship revision and parked instead.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: iPhone 16 Pro
  • Focal length: 15.659999847383mm
  • ISO: 50
  • Shutter speed: 1/3200s
