I spent another hour this morning photographing dragonflies over at Nutty Brown Farm and managed to pick up images of three species I hadn’t seen before. My web searching suggests that this is a Swift Setwing (Dythemis velox) but please let me know if I’m incorrect! I took all this morning’s images with the 150-400mm TC 1.25x lens and an additional 1.4x teleconverter. This combination makes a killer system for capturing dragonflies, allowing me to get to about 3 feet from the subject with a huge reach equivalent to 1400mm in 35mm terms.
