White-Winged Doves (Zenaida asiatica) are one of the most common birds in our area and, as such, I seldom pay them much attention. At Pedernales Falls State Park last Saturday, however, there were no uncommon birds visiting while I was at the bird blind so I trained the camera on what was there and was surprised to see just now colourful these guys are. I had never noticed the blue mascara before!
