Last night, we had a ton of fun shooting on Cannon Beach here in Oregon. aside from typical shots of Haystack Rock like this one, we also shot some star trails, played with spinning a blob of burning steel wool and captured meteors and the milky way. I’ll be posting these later but, for now, here’s a shot that required minimal processing and made for an easy update via my iPad.
This image was taken using a 10 stop neutral density filter (basically, a really dark piece of glass you screw in front of your lens to allow you to use really long shutter speeds in daylight). I processed it in Snapseed, my current favourite image editor on the iPad.
